Information for guests who may suffer disabilities.

 

Floor/area:  A three storey house with 6 bedrooms. Two single and 2 double rooms on the 1st floor for B&B guests.  Rest of the house is shared with family.

 

Use:  Family home providing 4 letting bedrooms.  Sorry, no special adaptations to cater for disablement but the family are willing to help in any way they can.

 

Property Details: 

 

Parking and Entrance - Level parking provided for 4 cars on front driveway.  One step up to the front door leading into a level entrance hall.  No wheelchair ramp.

 

Accommodation - Four bedrooms (2 single, 2 double) located on 1st floor up a flight of 14 stairs.  No lift available.  Rooms are off a level landing.  No downstairs rooms or toilet available.  One single and one double room have en-suites.  There is a shared bathroom on the first floor.  It has a grab rail in the shower.  Another toilet is located on the 2nd floor - up a narrow flight of 12 stairs.  Handrails are provided on both staircases.  The Breakfast room is located on the ground floor in a conservatory overlooking the garden.  Guests should be aware that it is necessary to step over a ground level, low sliding-door track at the conservatory entrance.  Remaining rooms are for family use.

 

Services - The family automatically offer to carry any luggage for guests.  They are also available to read the Fire Risk notice to guests with poor eyesight, and to assist in any evacuation in the case of an emergency.  We are available to answer any queries and to assist in any way possible.

The Breakfast Menu (see on Rates Page) provides a good selection of choice but special diets are not automatically catered for.  However, vegetarian options or gluten/dairy free food can be provided if prior notice is given.  eg soya milk/wheat free cereals/wheat free or meat free sausages.
